Our Story

Studio 424 is a creative clubhouse built for the ones who make their own lane. Nestled in the heart of Wicker Park, we blend coworking, community, lodging, content studios, and rooftop hangouts into one raw, authentic space. No fluff—just real people doing real work.

We're not here to be polished—we're here to be powerful. Our space speaks volumes. Our floors carry stories. And our rooms host global travelers, photographers, founders, DJs, and digital nomads from every walk of life. Whether you're pulling all-nighters in the studio, pitching your next idea, or just vibing with the tribe—we got you.

Studio 424 was built from scratch by founders who know the grind. We've created a home for hustlers, not gatekeepers. And now, the movement is growing.

No Fluff.
Real People.
Real Work.

A Home For
Hustlers, Not
Gatekeepers.

02

Who
We Are.

Studio 424 was founded by minority entrepreneurs who didn't just break into the creative industry—they built from within it.

From hip-hop retail to recording studios, streetwear to event marketing, they've stayed rooted in culture and focused on impact.

This space was never about looking perfect—it's about feeling possible. Studio 424 is for creatives who want to work hard, build community, and stay grounded in who we are.

Anwar Shahbaz-Lopez

"Bazz" · Founder & Visionary

From running one of Chicago's most iconic Hip-Hop shops, The Bassment, to building multiple ventures in streetwear, nightlife, events, and guerrilla marketing, Anwar has lived every phase of the creative hustle.

As a child of immigrants, his vision for Studio 424 was born from a need he saw firsthand: a space where underrepresented communities could build, collaborate, and grow—without selling out.

Celia G. Chavez

Chief Executive Officer

Celia is the operational force behind Studio 424. A bilingual businesswoman and first-generation leader, she brings a sharp mind for systems, hospitality, and community design.

With a background in both corporate structure and grassroots culture, Celia bridges the gap between creative chaos and sustainable growth. Her vision is bold: to create accessible and meaningful spaces where marginalized voices feel centered, not invited.

Together, Celia and Anwar are building a brand that
Doesn't Just Make Space.
It Makes Change.
